Sodium Percarbonate is an oxidizing agent – an ingredient used in a number of home and laundry cleaning products, including non-chlorine bleach products.

Sodium Percarbonate is a natural Oxygen Bleach. Not bleach like you might think of bleach, not that over-powering chemical stuff that you buy in supermarkets, but a combination of two natural products – Hydrogen Peroxide and Washing Soda.

It’s a safe, versatile, environmentally friendly product used in most households.

Sodium Percarbonate is usually one ingredient amongst a host of added fillers, bulking agents and whatnot! Our Sodium Percarbonate is pure 100% Sodium Percarbonate with absolutely nothing else added. 

Is it environmentally friendly?

Sodium percarbonate is non-toxic, environmentally safe, biodegradable, and leaves no harmful by-products or residues which can harm the environment. It is also non-toxic to animals, plants and humans.

Is it Septic safe?

In general, yes. Septics are finally balanced bacterially, so you would not dispose of a super-concentrated solution in a septic but used in the wash or in a cleaning solution, absolutely yes!

Is it colour safe?

We would always advise testing it on a garment first but in general yes, it is colour safe.

Are there fabrics Sodium Percarbonate should not be used on?

Yes, Sodium Percarbonate is not suitable for use with silk or wool.

USES:

• Mostly used in the laundry for brilliant whites, disinfecting, stain and mould removal and a key ingredient in cottage laundry cleaners. Amount to use will vary from wash to wash depending on the machine size, wash size and soiling. We suggest experiment a little, but a guide might be, add 1-4 tablespoon alongside your usual detergent. Use less of your usual detergent than you normally would.

• Household Cleaning – Place a scoop into an oversized bucket, add a half scoop of soap such as Coconut Soap, add hot water and mix.

• Home Brewing – used to clean, sterilise and sanitise equipment.

• In Aquaculture the Washing Soda is used to alkalise the water whilst the Hydrogen peroxide releases additional oxygen into the tank water

Please Note: Sodium Percarbonate solutions will remain active for 5 to 6 hours and after that period may be inactive. Do not store diluted solution in closed container.
